God is Love: It's Unconditional

He loves us so so very much… loving words give healing to any sickness. Love adds enjoyment to any perspective. Love applies pricelessness to faith, family and friendship. Love inspires imagination, inspiration, kindness, creativity, humility, integrity, generosity, compassion and understanding.


John 4:8 He that loveth not aknoweth not God; for God is love.

God is Love, and His love is very different from human love. God's love is unconditional, God cares about us deeply and will never abandon us, and nothing can separate us from God’s love. His love is unfailing, eternal, and everlasting. His love has never failed and will never fail us. God’s love has saved us and continues to save us – His love is real and is here to stay and it's not based on feelings or emotions. He doesn't love us because we're lovable or because we make Him feel good; He loves us because He is love. He created us to have a loving relationship with Him, and He sacrificed His own Son to restore that relationship.

Romans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

So, in Jesus we see what true love is: love breaks down barriers, overcomes obstacles to come to the beloved. This love endures rejection and misunderstanding to bring about reconciliation, healing, peace, and life. In Christ, we see God's great commitment to love us to perfection, to do all that is necessary to give us the fullness of love He already knows in His triune self. True love loves to perfection and perfects all that it loves. True love will not, in the end, settle for anything less than the perfection of the beloved. He accepts us where we are only to take us to where He is: the perfection of love.
God sent the Holy Spirit to LOVE us and help us. The Holy Spirit is also our guide to the LOVE of God. As believers in Christ it is our duty to practice the LOVE of Christ with ourselves and others. Sometimes people have a hard time LOVING their own family better yet strangers. Jesus came LOVING everyone no matter what! God's LOVE is in every one of us. We as believers must stand on His words of LOVE, so we are consumed by the LOVE of Christ Jesus. So practice the Word of God. Keep it before your eyes and LOVE one another as he LOVES us.

Alcohol and life of a Christians.

Ordinarily this is a very touching and controversial subject to Christians and across every spectrum of human society many are misled or meant to believe what the human mind interprets according to the scripture some of the skewed logic of encouraging this vice are:

1. Beer is a proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
2. Alcohol might be mans worst enemy but the Bible tells us to love your enemy

But the Bible says in Proverbs 20:1 “’Wine is a mocker, beer is a brawler, and whoever staggers because of them is not wise.’ Choosing to drink alcohol is asking for trouble. It’s simply not wise. And as we all know, there are often very negative consequences to living unwisely.”
Indulgence to beer, wine, whiskey and other beverages which contain alcohol, and therefore make one drunk, is a very old practice. The first time drinking is mentioned in the Bible is in Genesis, chapter 9. Noah, a righteous man, became drunk and lay naked in his tent. This good man had his sense of right and wrong dulled by the evil effects of drinking
In Genesis 19, we read of another righteous man, Lot, who was overcome by the evil effects of alcohol. While drunk, he had sexual relations with his own daughters! Again, a good man lost his sense of right and wrong when under the influence of alcohol.
Brief description of alcohol in the bible.
• There are two kinds of wine - new (fresh squeezed) and old (alcoholic).
• God forbids and warns against the distribution of old wine, unless it is only for medicinal purposes.
• Jesus never drank old wine - He always drank it new, fresh from the grape.
• Drinking wine and strong drink “in moderation” is impossible for a Christian, just like committing adultery in moderation is impossible!
• Drinking beer is the same as drinking wine in God’s eyes.
• The Christian who seeks to be filled with God’s Holy Spirit MUST abstain (stay totally away) from intoxicating “spirits”.
• There is a CURE for addition to alcohol - becoming a slave to nothing and nobody outside of Jesus Christ through His perfect word!
• Therefore, the only way out of addition to alcohol is found in repentance, and surrender to Christ on a daily basis, seeking to be filled with the Spirit as you study, and live by the perfect words of the living God - the Bible!
The Results of Drinking

1. If you drink New Wine - It refreshes, and makes a person’s heart and health good (Ps 104:15, "And wine that maketh glad the heart of man"). Grape juice is good for digestion, variation (variety is the spice of life), supply of vitamins, natural sugar and extra energy intake.
2. If you drink Old Wine and Strong Drink:

a. It numbs the brain making the person “think” that things are great. It is Satan’s counterfeit of new wine, and of the joy of the Lord that comes from enjoying natural foods.

Liquor and self-centeredness go hand-in-hand. Drinking has the habit of becoming more important than even the welfare of your own children (Joel 3:3) - people will end up selling almost anything in order to get a drink!

"And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink." (Joel 3:3)

Liquor and religion go hand-in-hand (Isaiah 28:7,8; Deut 32:31-38) - almost all the world’s religions use either drugs or alcoholic drink to enhance their “spirituality” in the worship of their god.
Drinking in moderation is possible, but rarely maintained, and always ends in disaster! Just as with anything, it IS possible to do something, and it not hurt you (1Cor 6:12). But that is not the way to tell if you should do it or not! We have to do what is RIGHT by God's standards, and not what we can get away with!
For a Christian to try and use anything other than Christ to cope with problems, is like a married man running to a harlot to help him cope with his life's problems! It is just as wicked in God's eyes!
How can one overcome addiction and attraction to alcohol

1. Accept the fact that no one is born an alcoholic, but rather we are all born sinners, and therefore sin - some by drinking, and others by thieving, etc. Without the salvation that Christ purchased on His cross, there is no victory available over drink or any other sin in your life!

We give thanks to the Lord

Before Jesus came to Earth, he lived in Heaven. In Heaven there is no sin and angels praised Him all day. Because Jesus loves us, He willingly gave this up and set aside His power to become a tiny, helpless human baby. This is where the story of sacrifice begins.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Let’s remember the sacrifices that Jesus offered for us to be enjoined with the Father again as we celebrate Christmas, it’s all about him.
The Sacrifice of Jesus Christ
We believe God so loved the world of helpless sinners that He gave His only begotten Son, who, though in all points tempted as we are, lived without sin in the human flesh. That Son, Jesus Christ, died as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity. His life, because He is the creator of all humanity, is of greater value than the sum total of all human life. His death is, therefore, sufficient to pay the penalty for every human being's sins. In paying this penalty He has made it possible, according to God's plan for each person and for humanity as a whole, for us to have our sins forgiven and to be released from the death penalty.

A Call to Salvation

Right from the Garden of Eden, the search for the recovery and restoration of the soul of man has been on.

Adam where are you?, has remained the age-long question of the Heavenly Father. He knew where He placed His man. God had given this man dominion over all he had made; He clothed the man with a garment of glory that gloriously hid away every shame or reproach in the man. The man possessed a nature that gave him free access to the holy presence of God. He and God spent the cool evenings intimately together.

But the day the man sinned by disobeying God’s command about the forbidden fruit, he fell from glory and from the place of dominion, thus became estranged from the presence of God. The consequences of this fall had lingered down through every generation of mankind after the first man.

Romans 3: 23 tells us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Hence every child born into this world carries along from his or her mother’s womb this batch: “a sinner.” The child is not branded a sinner because he or she has committed any sin, but because a devilish nature of sin runs through the lineage of mankind right from Adam. The Psalmist says in Psalm 51:15- Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

But we are not left without hope, help or solution. In Romans 5:19, the Bible says: “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.”

This is to say that, if through the sin or disobedience of one man-Adam, everyone was counted a sinner, through the obedience of another man also, everyone would be made righteous depending on their choices. Well, this other man is Jesus Christ who the Bible said He came to deliver His people from their sin.

Today, Jesus is seeking to deliver you from your sins if you let Him. The search for the salvation of your soul has been on till now. If you will invite Jesus to be the Lord and saviour of your soul today, He will willingly do so, for that is why He came into this world. Remember, you can’t become righteous by attempting to keep all the rules and regulations about moral living without Jesus Christ. What make you righteous is acknowledging and accepting the work of redemption the Lord Jesus Christ had completed on the cross.

Romans 10:9 says: “…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

This is all you need to be saved. May I therefore invite you to make The Lord Jesus your Lord and saviour today, as you pray this prayer below:

Lord Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of your salvation. I confess that you are The Lord, I believe in my heart that your death on the cross was for my redemption, I believe you were raised from the dead on the third day. Please LORD, forgive me all my sins today and make me a new creation. Thank you dear Lord for saving my soul from eternal damnation, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
